EVS C.I. CARE Employee Recognition
Thank you to our lovely Sangita for a job well done. GI recognized her for being organized. She kept the GI unit fully stacked with paper towels, hand sanitizer, toilet paper that the busy staff of the unit did not have to call for supplies. She went above and beyond by changing the patient bedding in G108A. G1 unit feels very fortunate to have her. Thank you Sangita. We are proud of you!

EVS: The 2018 Thomas A. GONDA Employee of the Year Award for Leadership
Mrs. Vijayanti
is an outstanding professional colleague, and a pleasant person to work
with. Through her leadership, and
mentorship, Mrs. Vijayanti has trained
staff from Managers, Supervisors to front line employees. She has led many projects, and took
leadership on staff scheduling by dedicating her time to ensure our
department’s daily needs are met. In
addition to her effort, she listens to employees’ concerns and takes on
leadership on the front-line staff who are falling behind. Her approachable, and kind demeanor allows
her to reach out to our front-line employees to coach them back on track and be
the most valuable employees they can be by cultivating their individual
skills. Mrs. Vijay brings the employees together to
participate and generate ideas during the morning huddles. In addition to that, she trained all the EVS
managers on how to properly document attendance issues in API which raised
awareness to the issues and holding everyone accountable to the attendance
policy.
Mrs. Vijayanti’ s biggest attribute to the
management team is her mentoring of new managers by getting them acclimated to
the SHC culture and environment. She is
the go to person for questions about a specific process to better understand why
it was implemented and what changes took place since.
Mrs. Vijayanti
had always lead with integrity and loyalty for 24 years by the highest standard
of professionalism. She is the prime
example of leadership by how she performs her daily tasks, how she teaches
others on how to get the job done, and how she takes lead on how to overcome
the many challenges our management, and front line employees encounters on the
daily basis. She takes immense personal
pride and sense of urgency to make a difference in the cleanliness of patient
units through coaching of employees and engagement with unit Managers.
She
is a compassionate and thoughtful leader.
Along with her skillsets, she has the abilities to lead her colleagues
and front line employees to success. Her
management style is superior. She is
very knowledgeable and passionate about quality cleanliness in the hospital,
and always provide top notch performance. She is well respected by many, and
has touched so many lives. Mrs.
Vijayanti has contributed, and helped shape the EVS department, and SHC
community grow.
Mrs. Vijayanti has demonstrated these qualities throughout her career as a
Supervisor in Environmental Services. She
is the most deserving, and most qualified employee for this award as she is an
exceptional employee; and we are fortunate to work alongside her.
CONGRATULATIONS to our very own EVS Supervisor, Mrs. Vijayanti Prasad for winning the 2018 GONDA AWARD
